“I’m really sorry it happened,” Jimmy Lovell said. “I feel bad about it and stuff.”
Lovell declined further comment and said he and his lawyer would not be able to talk about the case until it goes to trial. Lovell’s arraignment is set for Friday. Authorities allege that Lovell dragged the dog for several miles behind a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.
