FRANKLIN — Police last night were withholding the name of a man shot by officers Tuesday after a robbery at a Kroger store pharmacy.

The 30-year-old suspect, who they say is a convicted felon, is in Vanderbilt Medical Center in stable but critical condition following surgery.

Police spokesman Charlie Warner said investigators believe the man might be responsible for other local robberies. Until police can meet with victims of the other crimes, Warner said the suspect's identity and photograph will be withheld.
