Freedom rallyers have their say in Erwin Tea Party

ERWIN — If you think the federal government is out of control, people have a right to bear arms and nationalized health care is the wrong answer, Saturday’s freedom rally was the place for you to be.
“It’s scary what’s going on in Washington right now,” state Rep. David Hawk, R-Greeneville, said at the rally, held at the former Bear Mountain Outfitters building. “Thankfully, we’ve got a little bit of sanity in Tennessee, but it is scary how out of touch folks in Washington seem to be these days.”
The Northeast Tennessee Liberty Coalition and Unicoi County Sheriff Kent Harris sponsored the rally, which had attracted about 100 people as of 11 a.m. The point of the rally was to highlight the values of freedom and the Constitution.
