In marked contrast to his brother's defender, Davidson attorney David Eldridge proved guarded in his remarks to potential jurors during Friday's final round of jury selection in Knox County Criminal Court.
Attorneys on both sides typically use jury selection to begin framing their respective cases. When Davidson's brother, Letalvis Cobbins, stood trial last month, attorney Scott Green turned jury selection into a fiery preview of his client's defense - Cobbins was a cowardly rapist but no killer. That strategy saved Cobbins' life as his jury rejected the death penalty.
Davidson is to be tried Oct. 19 in the January 2007 slayings of Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23.
