A Bristol man was arrested Friday after driving into the wall of a residence while attempting to flee from police, according to a news release.

Police said, Garland R. Blackwell, 37, 106 Hemlock Lane, Bristol, was charged with six counts of felony reckless endangerment, two counts of burglary, two counts of felony vandalism, driving under the influence and resisting arrest.

His arrest stems from a complaint of a vehicle, driven by Blackwell, which police said was ramming another vehicle at 319 Hickory Bluff. When officers arrived at the scene, Blackwell accelerated, lost control of his vehicle and drove into the interior wall of the residence.
