Bristol man charged with texting threats to girlfriend that put Virginia High School in lockdown

The Bristol Herald Courier is reporting that Anthony B. Buff, 20, Bristol, Tenn., was arrested Wednesday after complaints that he texted threats to harm his teenage girlfriend and some of her classmates at Virginia High School.Virginia High went into lockdown and notified police, who arrested the boyfriend soon after. The 16-year-old girl told school officials Buff sent her more than 50 text messages before school Wednesday morning, including one to “make the news” by harming or killing her and 10 of her classmates, according to a news release from the Bristol Virginia Police Department.
