The Tennessean is reporting that Jerry Ray Brock wrote a half-dozen letters to the Metro claims department and eventually filed a lawsuit to get back the prosthetic leg he was forced to leave at the Nashville jail when he went to prison. He says he never received a single letter in return. But the same day this month that a story about him ran in The Tennessean, a sheriff's deputy arrived at the Charles Bass Correctional Complex annex holding his prosthetic.Brock was glad to get his leg back, but he says he requests was ignored for a year. He thinks his requests were ignored because, "I'm in prison, and I understand how the public feels about inmates. But I still have rights, and I still expect to be treated as a human being."
