Paleo-Pioneer camp at Gray Fossil Site

Rain Smith • Jul 24, 2009 at 12:00 AM

This week seven-year-olds are getting an inside look at what it's like to be a paleontologist at the Natural History Museum and Gray Fossil Site.

The series of Paleo-Pioneer Camps wrap up next week with programs for kids 13 to 16-years-old, and there's still a few spots open for registration.

The camp allows children to dig for fossils, and take part in fun activities that incorporate chemistry, biology and physics.

On Thursday campers were learning to make casts of fossils and bones. CLICK THE BOX BELOW for a video report.
