According to a report in the Knoxville News Sentinel, two police officers have resigned while under a criminal investigation, but the department won't say who or why.Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk wouldn't give names or any other details because "it's part of the ongoing investigation." The News Sentinel's filed a public records request and learned that city civil service records show KPD officers Nicky R. Bryant and Donald S. Clark each turned in a resignation Tuesday."Those are two officers that have resigned," DeBusk told the paper. "That does not indicate they are the officers under investigation."Neither resignation gives a specific reason for leaving the department, and neither officer could be reached Wednesday.
