Furniture manufacturer up and running after relocation to Greeneville

The Greeneville Sun is reporting that furniture manufacturer SouthCo Inc. has relocated the assembly portion of its business from Del Rio to Greeneville and is now operating in a 100,000-square-foot warehouse on Bohannon Avenue formerly occupied by Kaydon Corp.SouthCo specializes in the fabrication, assembly, sales and delivery of customized furniture to the college market in the United States.Clark expects to have 100 to 110 employees hired and working in the near future. About 90 percent of the work force will be hired locally, he said. Most of those employees will be needed in light assembly of furniture. CLICK HERE for the full report.
