Greeneville Housing Authority gets $664,936 from 'stimulus'

The Greeneville Housing Authority will receive $664,936 in federal stimulus funds.According to a report by the Greeneville Sun, Rebecca Moyer Adams, GHA's executive director, announced the numbers this week. Adams told the GHA's board of directors that she had expected the authority would receive nearly $1 million from the economic stimulus package passed by Congress last month.The infrastructure portion of the $787 billion stimulus package includes $4 billion for public housing improvements, according to the Associated Press."We're appreciative of this amount," Adams said, "even though it wasn't what we originally thought we were getting."
