Dec 24, 2008 at 12:00 AM
The Greeneville Sun is reporting that doctors, attorneys and school teachers, will not be automatically excluded from jury duty in 2009.
They also won't be allowed to perfom only limited jury service compliments of a new state law that takes effect Jan. 1
Circuit Judge Tom Wright and Circuit Court Clerk Gail Davis Jeffers told the Sun's reporter that the tightening of jury service exemptions are the result of an amendment to the law which was OK'd by the Tennessee General Assembly earlier this year.
