Hamblen County eyes new regulations for gun ranges, race tracks

The Morristown Citizen-Tribune is reporting that Hamblen County commissioners have decided to establish a new zoning category tht includes gun ranges and race tracks.The commission’s Public Services Committee wants regulations that will strictly limit the effect gun ranges would have on its neighbors.During a joint meeting committee and the Planning Commission this week most of the discussion focused on a gun range opened by Melvin Greene even though the new zoning with have little or no affect on Greene’s facility.
