The Morristown Citizen-Tribune is reporting that attorneys for former Morristown-Hamblen High School East teacher Michael Crosby were back in court late this week arguing that Crosby should be reinstated, or at least should be allowed to continue collecting unemployment benefits.Crosby was fired in May 2007 for having an inappropriate relationship with a student, that he violated orders to not have any contact with the teenage girl, and that he sent off-color e-mails to another teacher on the school's computer system. The school systems attorney, Scott Reams, argued that Crosby's for insubordination and unprofessional contact was justified and that the employment-review panel and administrative law judge were wrong in giving Crosby unemployment benefits.
