The Greeneville Sun is reporting that to teenage brothers died in a single-vehicle traffic accident that took place about 7:15 a.m. Wednesdauy on the Newport Highway about 7.2 miles southwest of Greeneville. The victims were identified as Skyler Neas, 16, and Dakota Neas, 14, both of St. James Road, by William "Tracy" Lane, a Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services shift supervisor. The Neas brothers were apparently enroute from their grandfather's residence on West Allens Bridge Road to West Greene High School at the time the fatal accident took place, said Sheriff's Sgt. Terry Rader, who investigated the fatal accident. West Greene High Principal Larry Bible said he was made aware that the brothers had died in the accident about 8:15 a.m. but waited until about 11:15 p.m., after their family members had been notified, to tell other West Greene students of their deaths. "The school is in shock," Bible said. "You could hear a pin drop during lunch." Bible described the Neas brothers as "great students, great kids, just super." "There is no way the general public knows what this does to a school," Bible said. "We pride ourselves, down here, on being a family." CLICK HERE for the full report.
