The nephew of a current alderman was chosen Thursday night to fill a vacant seat on Bluff City\\\'s Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
According to the Bristol Herald-Courier, Max Weaver, the nephew of Alderman Don Weaver, will fill the seat vacated by former Mayor Tom Anderson, who resigned from the six-member board in June.
\\\"He\\\'s been the only one who has made wishes to go forward instead of backward in this town,\\\" said Vice Mayor J.C. Gentry, who made the nomination.
Max Weaver, 35, is on disability due to heart problems. He said he has always been interested in serving on the board.
\\\"I think the town needs help and I think I can do the best for the town,\\\" he said.
He added that because he is on a fixed income he can identify with other city residents who are in the same position.Â
