Johnson City man robbed while walking

A Johnson City man was sent to the hospital for medical treatment after being robbed Tuesday. According to police reports, the man was walking to a convenience store near his home when two men attempted to rob him.
The victim said he refused to give up his wallet, at which time one of the robbers punched him in the left eye and knocked him to the ground.
The men removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and rummaged through it but took nothing before fleeing on foot from the scene.
