The trial date of James "Jimmie" W. Swafford Jr. has been reset to Sept. 7.

Swafford and Quashanda Wolfe were indicted in January on charges of conspiracy to commit theft over $500, forgery and theft over $500.

Sullivan County District Attorney Greeley Wells said in January that during the original TBI investigation into Swafford’s alleged drug organization, agents seized four tires from a vehicle Wolfe drove.

Swafford was named in an indictment against Brian Hayworth, a Kingsport businessman who surrendered to law enforcement in January following an indictment in an alleged conspiracy to commit theft from the state.

In January, charges were placed against 20 people in a drug conspiracy that brought more than 700 pounds of marijuana and more than 300 grams of cocaine into Sullivan County, primarily over the last two years.
