May 19 - Boone Lake Cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. with volunteers passing out TVA trash bags and gloves at the Bluff City 11-E Bridge, Davis Boat Dock, Hidden Cove, Jay's Boat Dock, Rockingham Dock, Sonny's Marina, TWRA/11-E Devault Bridge, Lakeview Marina, and Cancun on Boone. Trash collected must be returned to these locations by 3 p.m. Call 323-4653 or 283-5827.

May 19 - Sullivan North Naval Junior ROTC Booster Club will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the basement of Vermont United Methodist Church, Bloomingdale Road, Kingsport.

May 19 - Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 979 will hold an Armed Forces Recognition Day with a program at 10 a.m. and displays through 2 p.m., weather permitting, at Memorial Park, Fort Henry Drive.

May 19 - Dobyns-Bennett High School will hold its 2006-07 graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. in J. Fred Johnson Stadium.
