Johnson City man faces identity theft charges

Johnson City police arrested Anthony Phillip Gentry, 37, of Spruce Street in Johnson City on identity theft charges after an investigation involving a stolen vehicle.

Authorities discovered Gentry lied about his identity and personal information.

Gentry was taken into custody and is being held at the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.

He will appear in Washington County General Sessions Court Monday, May 14.
