According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, a tip revealed Clarence Frye, 36, who failed to report back to the Washington County Detention Center from work release on Sunday, was at a Johnson City business. At around 10 a.m. investigators went to Northern Tool and Equipment Co., 422 Marketplace Blvd., Johnson City, where they found Frye. He was arrested him without incident.

In January of this year, Frye was sentenced to serve a six-year sentence on an arson charge. He was court ordered to the work release program and had been working construction jobs in and around the Johnson City area.

In addition to his current sentence, Frye has been charged with escape and will appear in Washington County General Sessions Court today for arraignment.
