JONESVILLE - Two Lee County men are being held without bond on charges of malicious wounding. They will be arraigned today in Lee County General District Court, at which time preliminary hearings will be scheduled.
Mickey Thacker, 27, and Ryan Thacker, 21, both of Dot Trailer Park, Pennington Gap, have been charged with the malicious wounding of Dallas J. Ketron during a Sunday brawl. Mickey Thacker also faces a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery of Heather Richards, who attempted to assist Ketron in escaping the alleged attack by the Thackers.
A warrant obtained by Richards alleges that Ketron was being assaulted by Mickey Thacker, and she ran to pull him off when Thacker called to a third person, Dustin Pennington, to help. She alleges that Mickey Thacker began kicking her and Ketron, causing serious injury to them both.
Ketron alleges in his warrants that he was going outside when three men - the Thackers and Pennington - followed him.
His warrant further claims that he was knocked down by the Thackers, who began beating, kicking, punching and stomping him before Pennington joined in.
Ketron's warrant alleges that he had to be flown to the hospital for treatment of multiple injuries including head trauma, multiple skeletal fractures and a possible brain injury. Richards also required medical attention for her injuries.
