Margie Leedy allegedly placed an anonymous note in her relative's mailbox advising that he'd been watched over the past three months, and he should place $1,500 in unmarked bills inside an envelope and put it in a red mailbox near his home by 6 p.m.

"If you don't do what we say you'll be sorry," the note read in part. It further advised that "if you don't do this you'd better stay home 24/7."

The writer also advised the man to keep his mouth shut and to burn the note after delivering the cash.
