BRISTOL, Tenn. - A Bristol, Tenn., couple accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl and videotaping the encounter are scheduled for a preliminary hearing today in Bristol General Sessions Court.
Frederick James Demay, 23, and Leslie A. Demay, 21, both of 110 Basham Hill Road, Bristol, are each charged with especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and four counts of statutory rape.
Bristol police investigators became aware of the allegations after another teen and an adult told police about the incidents, which allegedly happened last summer between June and August.
The Demays had provided a place for teens to hang out and participate in activities without the scrutiny of their parents, police said.
During the investigation, the couple allegedly told police they had sex with the girl on four occasions.
The 14-year-old girl also told police that the alleged encounters occurred.
Only one of the sexual encounters was taped, but apparently other teens who frequented the Demays' residence had seen it, according to a court document.
The Demays were arrested last week and remain jailed in the Sullivan County Detention Center on $50,000 bonds.
