In the market for a car or truck?

A new Web site could be your one-stop shopping source.

The Kingsport Times-News, Johnson City Press, Dealer Specialties and GoTriCities Network have partnered to introduce tricitywheels.com.

The site includes nearly 50 local automobile dealers and the largest online auto mall in the region with 2,300 to 2,500 cars, trucks and motorcycles.

"It's the largest database of automobiles in the Tri-Cities, and it's updated daily," said Keith Wilson, publisher of the Kingsport Times-News.

Visitors can search by vehicle make, model or price, or peruse vehicles available at specific dealerships. The site features vehicle specifications and options available, as well as photographs of each vehicle.

Dealer Specialties, a locally owned franchise of GetAuto.com, works with dealers from across the region, photographing vehicles and uploading them to the database each day.

The site also includes vehicles from classified listings in the Kingsport Times-News and Johnson City Press.

And the site features research links, including the Kelley Blue Book for price comparisons, Carfax for vehicle history reports, Edmunds for market value, fueleconomy.gov for fuel information, and NADA guides for vehicle pricing and information.

A loan calculator is also available to help prospective buyers know what they can afford.

"It's a pretty impressive site," said Wilson. "This will become the place to go when you're checking for used cars in the Tri-Cities area."
