Woman accused of trying to stab husband

BLOUNTVILLE - A Virginia woman has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after allegedly trying to stab her husband.

According to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday police were dispatched on a domestic assault call at 663 Deck Valley Road. There they talked to Troy Worley, who said his wife, Rebecca Lee Worley, had entered his residence through the back door. Troy Worley said when she made threats and refused to leave, 911 was called. Rebecca Worley then allegedly pulled a knife and tried to stab her husband. The two struggled until police arrived.

Rebecca Worley, 33, 29482 Lanier Drive, Meadowview, Va., was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and violation of a domestic order of protection. She was arraigned Tuesday morning and was being held in the Sullivan County Correctional Facility under a $50,000 bond.
