KINGSPORT — Here is what is happening in downtown Kingsport this weekend, according to the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Today

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

DONNIE & THE DRY-HEAVERS

A 3-piece band in Kingsport that jams to the Blues/Rock sound and everything all around. You may recognize a few of these familiar faces as they play in other bands around town, and they each bring that familiar sound to this group. Catch them at the Model City Tap House every other Thursday!

324 E. Market Street - 7 p.m.

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

THE ANDREW THELSTON DUO

Join Sleepy Owl Brewery for a Thursday Night Jam as they welcome The Andrew Thelston Duo starting at 7 p.m.. Musician Andrew Thelston combines his love of rock, funk, blues and jazz into a delicious and original sound for the listener. This show is friendly for all ages, and free to the public!

151 E. Main Street - 7 p.m.

MACADO’S:

KARAOKE NIGHT

Come out to Macado's for a fun karaoke experience! In conjunction with Absolute Entertainment, they're setting up a karaoke bar and they need you to come rock the house! Grab a bite, grab a brew, and get on the rotation to sing your heart out! Not a singer? No worries! Come enjoy the talented individuals who are!

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

DONNIE & THE DRY-HEAVERS

Did you miss Donnie & The Dry-heavers on Thursday at Model City Tap House? No worries, they're taking downtown Kingsport by storm. Catch their show at Sleepy Owl Brewery starting at 8 p.m. Grab one of their signature craft beers - if you're lucky you may catch a new release - and grab a seat for some great music!

RYAN WARD

Ryan Ward is a talented, eclectic singer/songwriter with an endless passion for music. He incorporates his guitar heroes and influences into his own compositions. You can expect a mixture of classic rock/indie/alternative/pop with 100 percent energy!

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

JUSTIN MYCHALS

Justin Mychals father loved to tell the stories of the mountains and the families that lived there. Many a night was spent with the grownups sittin' in the dark tellin' tales of the older generation while Justin, being of the younger generation, sat on the floor and listened. And listened he did! Those old mountain and family stories are the cornerstone of his latest release, "Mandolin Mornin"!
