The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through Sunday evening. As of Friday afternoon, heavy rains were expected to hit on Saturday morning and continue into the following day and night.
Forecasters were reminding motorists to be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses — and if you encounter a flooded road, “Turn around! Don’t drown!”
Along with the soaking conditions, the NWS says wind gusts could hit 20 mph on Sunday.
On a positive note, highs that day are predicted to be near 63 degrees, with the overnight low being around 45.
Monday should bring a 50 percent chance of showers and a high in the mid 50s. But isolated flooding could continue throughout the week, as the chance of rain from Tuesday through Thursday varies from 40 to 60 percent.
