On Thursday and Friday, you can bring in a canned good and receive 10 percent off your total bill.
On Saturday, Phil’s Dream Pit will knock 10 percent off every customer’s total bill. Bring in a canned food item on Saturday as well and receive an additional 10 percent off. Moreover, the restaurant will be donating 10 percent of its total sales to Second Harvest Food Bank, along with all the canned goods.
The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Meta’s Cake Therapy will be serving home-baked cupcakes. The Tom Taylor sports radio show will also be live on Saturday.
“Phil’s Dream Pit has been blessed to serve the Tri-Cities area great barbecue,” said a news release. “Our awesome customers are the reason we have been in business and stayed in business these last 10 years. We cannot express how much we appreciate everyone that walks through the front door.”
Phil’s Dream Pit opened in February 2008 in a location many felt was doomed. The only restaurant at Interstate 26’s Eastern Star exit, Phil’s turned into a destination.
The restaurant offers hickory-smoked meats including: pulled pork, pulled chicken, half chickens, beef brisket, pork baby back ribs (both sweet and dry rub), pork wings, sliced turkey, all beef hot dogs, sausage and jalapeno cheddar dogs. In wintry weather, brisket chili and Mexican cornbread are also on the menu. Homemade sides include cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans and hash brown casserole. Desserts include banana pudding, blueberry dream, banana dream and cookies.
