KINGSPORT — Police are searching for a man accused of indecent exposure at a city Walmart, where he is alleged to have purposely displayed his genitalia to employees who were cleaning a restroom.

According to a Friday press release from the Kingsport Police Department, the incident occurred July 31 at the store on West Stone Drive. Two females had reportedly barricaded the men’s restroom at the front of the store, but a man deliberately pushed the barricade aside and entered.

The women told him the restroom was temporarily closed, then advised him of another facility at the rear of the store.

“The man ignored their request and proceeded to the urinal,” reports the KPD. “While standing at the urinal, the man turned and faced the ladies and deliberately exposed his genitals to them. He then turned back to face the urinal, used the restroom, and eventually left the store.”

Investigators have released a surveillance image of the suspect. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call the KPD at (423) 229-9429 or or (423) 246-9111.
