When a Rogersville man tried to retrieve property from his home, his wife allegedly exited with a pistol and fired four shots in his direction. He fled the scene — at which time she shot at his pickup — while a deputy later found her passed out in the yard with a loaded gun in her waistband. She was transported to a hospital and charged with aggravated assault.
A 70-year-old woman reported unwanted guests at her Church Hill home. She said that after finding her grandson and two women “all naked” and asleep in her residence, she ordered them to leave, but they refused to do so. When an officer arrived, they complied with her demands, and no police action was taken.

In a stalking report, officers were shown records of more than 100 telephone calls a man had made to a woman. They occurred over a period of just an hour and a half.
Police were alerted to an assault in the parking lot of the Fort Henry Drive Walmart. According to a witness, a man and woman “were arguing over a parking space,” and the female eventually hit him. However, both had departed prior to the arrival of an officer, and neither party called dispatch about the incident.
Outside Holston Valley Medical Center, a nurse asked a “suspicious” man if he needed any help. He responded that he was waiting on cops to arrive “so he could die,” then showed her a handgun on the passenger seat of his car. Police found him in an emergency lane, where he ignored commands to show his hands and kept trying to reach into his pocket. Two officers then physically restrained him and found the weapon he possessed was a BB gun. After admitting to using meth for several days and saying he was trying to incite police to kill him, he was arrested for aggravated assault.
At Walgreens on West Stone Drive, an employee stopped a man who was rolling out a cart full of shoplifted food. When questioned by a responding officer, the man admitted to trying to steal the $99 in merchandise: “Walgreens had stolen $100 from him, so he intended to steal the shopping cart.” Upon being told he was under arrest for theft, he attempted to flee but was quickly brought into custody. Pills in his possession led to drug charges.
