WISE — A former resident of Wise County, now reportedly living in the western portion of Tennessee, has been indicted on 100 counts of possession of child pornography.

The case against Andrew Michael Hensley, 25, has grown from a handful of initial charges following implementation of a search warrant at his former Wise County residence on Feb. 22.

The search warrant targeted Hensley's former residence at 6220 Locust Grove Road in Wise when authorities seized Hensley's personal computer and other evidence. A hearing on those initial charges is scheduled for Wise County General District Court on Sept. 4.

Wise County Commonwealth's Attorney Chuck Slemp said Tuesday the Virginia State Police High Crimes Division has been analyzing the contents of the computer and the indictments handed down by a Wise County grand jury reflect the findings. Slemp said a current address in Camden, Tenn., for Hensley is because he moved in with a relative at that location with court permission since his initial arrest.

"We just got a couple of charges on him initially knowing that computer needed to be analyzed to determine how many images investigators might turn up," Slemp said.

The first count of the latest 100-count indictment is felonious possession of child pornography, a Class 6 felony carrying a maximum jail term of five years. Each of the remaining 99 counts allege a subsequent offense, all Class 5 felonies carrying a maximum prison term of 10 years each.

Slemp said Hensley will face extradition from Tennessee for arraignment on the host of new charges.
