A stabbing at a Johnson City motel Tuesday night left a man hospitalized in critical condition and landed two other men in jail.

About 9:30 p.m., police were called to The Park N’ Stay Inn, 3406 W. Market St., about report of shots fired, and found the 32-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Emergency Medical Services took him to Johnson City Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. The victim’s name was not included in a Johnson City Police Department news release.

Police interviewed witnesses and watched video surveillance recordings that captured the incident. Police said the victim was in an altercation in the parking lot with George Bray, 34, who resided in Apt. 119 at the motel. Bray stabbed the other man several times before getting into a vehicle and striking the victim with it.
