BLOUNTVILLE — A local man was jailed today (Friday, February 23, 2018) on 50 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He has since made bond and been released.

According to a press release issued this afternoon by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office:

• Joshua C. Wagner, 41, was booked and released on a $75,000 bond.

• Wagner’s arrest came after a Sullivan County grand jury returned an indictment on the 50 counts of sexual exploitation earlier this week.

• The case was presented to the grand jury after the SCSO received information that suspected child pornography images were being downloaded from the Internet at an address in Blountville. A search warrant was executed on the residence on February 15, and numerous electronic devices were seized and examined.

• The investigation is still continuing and no more information can be released at this time.
