ROGERSVILLE — A Rogersville man accused of possessing and trading more than 100 child porn images and videos was arrested Tuesday on a Hawkins County grand jury sealed indictment warrant.

Justin Lynn Strange, 30, 2268 E. Main St., Rogersville, is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, a Class B felony punishable by 8-12 years.

Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Allen told the Times News on Thursday that the case remains under investigation and very few facts are being released at this time.

Allen did say, however, that the HCSO received a report that Strange was downloading and trading child pornography.

An investigation was conducted, and the results of that investigation were presented to the grand jury on Feb. 1.

The indictment alleges that on or about Jan. 25 Strange knowingly possessed more than 100 photographs, images or videos that include a minor engaged in sexual activity or simulated sexual activity.

Allen said the majority of children in the photos and videos appear to be pre-teens.

As of Thursday, Strange remained held in the Hawkins County Jail on $50,000 bond pending arraignment in Hawkins County Criminal Court on April 30.
