A woman called police after a suspicious and anonymous package arrived in the mail wrapped in brown paper and "filled with spray foam." A responding officer found the box also contained "a metal jar with two pennies and bottle cap" but deemed it was not hazardous. Subsequent investigation revealed it was purchased online from a friend of the complainant, then sent to her house as a prank.

"Due to past reports of drug activity," an officer was patrolling along Howard Street and spotted a suspicious man outside a pickup. When approached by police, the suspect "appeared nervous and asked if he was free to go." Meanwhile, a backpack containing cash and a loaded handgun were located nearby in the road. He denied possession of the bag and had no active warrants, at which point he was allowed to leave in the vehicle. The money, totaling $2,800, was seized by police, and "a large amount of meth" was later found in the backpack. An investigation is continuing.

Police spoke with a pair of male drivers who had been involved in a road rage incident on John B. Dennis Highway. Each blamed the other for starting the altercation by intentionally swerving into the other lane or "trying to race." As they exited onto Stone Drive, one man stopped on the ramp to block traffic and exited his car, approaching the other driver's window. No charges were immediately placed, but the officer intended to consult the district attorney's office.
