Wise Fall Fling set for Saturday and Sunday

WISE — The 40th Wise Fall Fling takes over the center of town Saturday and Sunday with crafts and food booths, a Kids Korner that will include a Firefighter Obstacle Course on Saturday, and lively lineups of musical performers both days.
The Firefighter Obstacle Course at the Kids Korner area begins at noon Saturday for ages 5-10 and 11-15. Timed competition begins at 4 p.m. The course requires crawling through a pipe, climbing over an age-appropriate wall and dragging a hose to spray a target. Children must be dressed appropriately and shoes are a must (no flip-flops permitted).
Parents must sign a consent before children can enter the obstacle course competition.
Following opening ceremonies at 10 a.m., Saturday’s Big Glades Main Stage performances begin with Sycamore Hollow from 10-11:45 a.m., followed by the Center Stage Cloggers from 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.; Benny Jones and CMT Country from 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Right Fork Ramblers from 1:15-2:30 p.m.; White Top Mountain Band from 2:30-3:45 p.m.; Sunrise Ridge from 3:45-4:45 p.m.; and Tommy Webb from 4:45-6 p.m.
Saturday’s performances from The Inn Balcony (Stage 2) include Poplar Hill Reunion from 11 a.m. to noon followed by Sycamore Hollow from noon to 1 p.m.; Center Stage Cloggers from 1-2 p.m.; Poplar Hill Reunion from 2-3 p.m.; Right Fork Ramblers from 3-4 p.m.; and White Top Mountain Band from 4-5 p.m.
Sunday’s first performance at the Big Glades Main Stage will be from 11-11:30 a.m. with Logan Strange, followed by William Caudill and Cross Country Bluegrass from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Ron Short from 12:30-1:30 p.m.; the Country Cabin Linedancers from 1:30-2 p.m.; the Harding Family from 2-3 p.m.; the Appalachian Highlanders Pipes & Drums from 3-4 p.m.; and the Good Shepherd Quartet from 4-5 p.m.
