Mystery author to hold book signing

Linda Hudson Hoagland of Tazewell, Va., a graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College, will sign copies of her new mysteries, “Snooping Can Be Dangerous” and “The Best Darn Secret” from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday, May 11, at the Piccadilly in the Kingsport Town Center, Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport.

Hoagland has won acclaim for her series of mystery novels including “An Awfully Lonely Place,” “The Backwards House,” “Death by Computer,” “Checking on the House,” “Snooping Can Be Dangerous,” “The Best Darn Secret,” “Crooked Road Stalker” and “Snooping Can Be Contagious.”

She has had her short stories, essays and poems published in anthologies including “Christmas Blooms” and “Cup of Comfort.” Her non-fiction books include “The Little Old Lady Next Door,” “Watch Out for Eddy,” “Living Life for Others,” “Quilted Memories,” “90 Years and Still Going Strong,” “Just a Country Boy: Don Dunford” (edited), and a short story collection, “A Collection of Winners.”
