CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Five months after tornadoes hit the Chattanooga area and Tennessee, a movie about twisters is about to begin a run at the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX Theater in the city.

"Tornado Alley 3D" features an array of scientists who participated in VORTEX2, a mission that probed violent storms. They used a fleet of radar trucks, mobile weather stations and sophisticated weather-measuring instruments.

Sean Casey of the Discovery Channel's "Storm Chasers" program used an IMAX camera to capture previous tornado footage for the six-story screen.

The Greater Chattanooga American Red Cross is joining with the theater to offer training classes in conjunction with the movie.

The film, beginning Friday following a special showing Thursday night, will be shown through December and possibly longer.

Thirty-seven people died in Tennessee during late April tornadoes.
