Folks heading to the Wellmont Fun Fest Parade on Friday, July 15 will want to be sure to take along their dancing shoes. Or at least have them there in time for the after party. Broad Street Boogie, featuring the Asheville-based party band Orange Krush, will get under way immediately following the parade at Glen Bruce Park. Orange Krush will perform from 8 until 11 p.m on the Hometown IGA Stage on Broad Street. The event, sponsored by UT-Knoxville at KCHE and Century Link, is free and no tickets are required. The six-piece band features both male and female singers, plus bass, drums, keys, and guitar — allowing for a high-energy performance covering nearly every musical style. Known for creating a highly engaging and interactive experience, the band boasts a large and diverse song list that includes everything from classic party tunes, blues and beach tunes to jazz, swing and reggae.
