BRISTOL, Tenn. — The students, parents and faculty of Weaver Elementary School in eastern Sullivan County recently served as a collection station for the 10th Annual Johnia Berry Memorial Toy Drive.

This toy drive is conducted in honor and memory of Johnia Berry, a Bristol native and former East Tennessee State University student, murdered in Knoxville in 2004, and her love of children. The Weaver school family showed a  generous spirit by sending in toys to be used this holiday season for children in the area. Great job Weaver families, and much appreciation to the Berry family for its dedication, school officials said. Ethan and Avery Baker, relatives of the Berry family, saw the donations.
