KINGSPORT — Johnson Elementary Schools students led a canned food drive for the Family Resource Center and the Homeless Education Program of Kingsport City Schools.

The students collected more than 2600 cans, and the pre-kindegarten class of about 20 collected 670 cans, said Deborah Moore, Johnson’s family liasion.

“That’s awesome for one class to collect. They are 4 year olds,” Moore said.
