KINGSPORT — Here’s the slate of events in downtown Kingsport this weekend according to the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Today

HIGH VOLTAGE:

SINGER / SONGWRITER CIRCLE

Singer/Songwriters Circle happening at High Voltage, featuring three local talented musicians Chris Long, Scotty Melton and Mick Kyte- starting at 7. We open at 5 and Hokie Smokie is serving up the grub!

101 Cherokee Street - 5 p.m.

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

MUSICAL BINGO

If you've never heard of Musical Bingo...here's your chance to try out the latest craze in cities across the country! It's played exactly like traditional Bingo, except with song clips played in place of letters and numbers! Test your music IQ by determining the song title within the 20 second music clip AND find it on your Bingo Card! Prizes will be awarded to winners! See you there!

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

DONNIE & THE DRY-HEAVERS

A 3-piece band in Kingsport that jams to the Blues/Rock sound and everything all around. You may recognize a few of these familiar faces as they play in other bands around town, and they each bring that familiar sound to this group.

MACADO’S:

KARAOKE NIGHT

The work week is almost over which means it's time for YOU to get your karaoke on! In partnership with Absolute Entertainment, the karaoke bar will be set up and waiting for YOU to come rock the house! Grab a tasty bite, a cold brew, and sing your heart out!

MODEL CITY WRECKING CREW

Opening at 5. Come rock with the Model City Wrecking Crew starting at 7:30. If you missed this band at High Voltage last time, you're in for a real treat! They bring a great selection of songs and energy to hype up everyone there! BITE will be on hand to cover your hunger and the Fuse Box is stocked with your favorite beverages

TWILIGHT ALIVE:

JOE MULLINS & THE RADIO RAMBLERS

Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have an energetic mix of quality Bluegrass and Gospel music, a professional presentation, inventive instrumental work, a wide variety of vocal arrangements including a capella quartets and tasteful, down-home humor. Their professionalism and successful, heavily played recordings have kept them in demand with a national audience.

LAMPLIGHT THEATRE:

AIM SHOWCASE

A.I.M. is designed to help educate and encourage Christian artists to use their God-given talents to glorify Christ. This week-long conference prepares artists (teens and adults) for ministry. We want to see Christian artists that minister with the highest level of integrity and character. Friday Night will be the showcase of all the talent and education fine-tuned throughout the week!

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

VOLK

VOLK is the dynamic duo that roars with a mix of high-octane Rock n Roll, classic Country swagger, and heart-shattering Soul. After cutting their teeth in the dim-lit bars of Europe, VOLK decided to take their music home to the US in Spring 2016. Since settling down in Nashville, VOLK has opened for such acts as Left Lane Cruiser, Royal Thunder, Diarrhea Planet, Mayeux & Broussard, The Ghost Wolves, Brother O' Brother, catl, and John Evans.

KINGSPORT FARMERS MARKET:

SATURDAYS WITH THE CHEFS

Saturdays with the Chef is a free cooking demo series showcasing Kingsport chefs and their recipes using produce available at the Kingsport Farmers Market. Copies of each chef's recipe will be available at the demo and online, as well as free samples of their delicious creations!

AUSTIN BARRETT & JAKE QUILLIN

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

MARK MAHONEY

Progressive ambient artist Mark Mahoney has been performing live for 7 years. With collaborator Michael Peck, Mahoney has performed at such prestigious venues such as The Gathering, three times on the Stars End radio show, and four Electro-Music.com festivals. Mahoney has also soloed at the City Skies festivals in 2008 and 2009. He has performed live on several occasions on stillstream.com.
