KINGSPORT —  Here is what is going on in downtown Kingsport this weekend, according to the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Today

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

DONNIE & THE DRY-HEAVERS

A 3-piece band in Kingsport that jams to the Blues/Rock sound and everything all around. You may recognize a few of these familiar faces as they play in other bands around town, and they each bring that familiar sound to this group. Catch them at the Model City Tap House every other Thursday!

THE PICKIN PORCH:

ANDY BUCKNER

f an artist is described as playing Southern music it's fair to ask what kind. Country? Southern Rock? Rock N' Roll? Blues? Bluegrass? In the case of Andy Buckner, the answer is "all of the above" in one talented musical package. Blending honky-tonk bravado and gritty seclusion, Andy Buckner's music embodies a balance of party anthems and instantly relatable heartache healers

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

VOLK

VOLK is the dynamic duo that roars with a mix of high-octane Rock n Roll, classic Country swagger, and heart-shattering Soul. After cutting their teeth in the dim-lit bars of Europe, VOLK decided to take their music home to the US in Spring 2016. Since settling down in Nashville, VOLK has opened for such acts as Royal Thunder, Diarrhea Planet, & Mayeux and Broussard.

MACADO’S:

KARAOKE NIGHT

Come out to Macado's for a fun karaoke experience! In conjunction with Absolute Entertainment, they're setting up a karaoke bar and they need you to come rock the house! Grab a bite, grab a brew, and get on the rotation to sing your heart out! Not a singer? No worries! Come enjoy the talented individuals who are!

LAMPLIGHT THEATRE:

SHENANIGANS MUSICAL REVUE

With a wonderfully talented cast, this show promises to bring a smile to everyone who attends. This production packs something for all ages. Shenanigans 2018 will feature a walk down memory lane with some great songs from Broadway legend, Irving Berlin. Songs like "Steppin' Out with my Baby" and "I've Got Rhythm" are sure to make you tap your feet. This year, there will be a tribute to another legend...Michael Jackson.

160 Broad Street- 7 p.m., also Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m.

KINGSPORT THEATRE GUILD:

WINNIE THE POOH

Winnie-the-Pooh is Christopher Robin's fat little "bear of very little brain" who would like to drift peacefully through life, humming tunes and stopping frequently to eat "a little something." However, he finds himself involved in all sorts of frantic adventures, assisted by such friends as the dismal Eeyore, Piglet and Rabbit, with his countless relations.

1200 E. Center Street - 7 p.m., also Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

LEFT LANE CRUISER

This whiskey fueled two man frenzy of blues-driven rock'n'roll noise straight from Fort Wayne, Indiana promise to hit you like a shock wave and show you a foot-stompin' good time. Left Lane Cruiser is comprised of Joe Evans (Freddy J IV) on slide guitar and vocals and Pete Dio on the drums. The raw blues power duo of LLC have practiced through thick and thin to hone a sound unlike any other.

WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE MAN

Look! Up at the bar! It's a bird! It's a plane! No..it's obviously not a plane. How would a plane fit in the bar? That's just foolish. MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

OSCAR HARRIS

Oscar Harris has been involved in music for many years, as he's been a part of several bands playing all types of music. Some of the groups were "The Changing Tymes," "Another Tyme," and "Mendota." He just released a CD of original songs that he wrote titled "Mixed Up" & will be performing many of those singles & more at Taps!
