What is going on in downtown Kingsport this weekend?

Here’s the lineup from the Downtown Kingsport Association.

Today

FEBRUARY PEAK AROUND TOWN:

CHOCOLATE PAIRING PARTY

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and we're celebrating with a chocolate pairing party! Similar to Friendsgiving, we're inviting everyone to bring something to share, specifically chocolate and a wine or beer and a pairing. You can keep it simple with your chocolate and bring a candy bar or get fancy and bring a chocolate cake or chocolate covered strawberries - it's entirely up to you!

300 Clinchfield Street - 6-8 p.m.

MODEL CITY TAP HOUSE:

MUSICAL BINGO

If you've never heard of Musical Bingo...here's your chance to try out the latest craze in cities across the country! It's played exactly like traditional Bingo, except with song clips played in place of letters and numbers! Test your music IQ by determining the song title within the 20-second music clip AND find t on your Bingo Card! Prizes will be awarded to winners! See you there!

THE PICKIN PORCH:

STEEL CREEK BLUEGRASS

One of Kingsport's newest Musical Venues will be bringing two great acts your way this Thursday Night. Hosted by Rick Dollar, the Venue will feature local artists, Hunter Patterson who describes his music as an Indie Accoustic, and Allan Hughs. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the night, so come on down for a chance to win!

MACADO’S:

KARAOKE NIGHT

Come out to Macado's for a fun karaoke experience! In conjunction with Absolute Entertainment, they're setting up a karaoke bar and they need you to come rock the house! Grab a bite, grab a brew, and get on the rotation to sing your heart out! Not a singer? No worries! Come enjoy the talented individuals who are!

KINGSPORT THEATRE GUILD:

WINNIE THE POOH

Winnie-the-Pooh is Christopher Robin's fat little "bear of very little brain" who would like to drift peacefully through life, humming tunes and stopping frequently to eat "a little something." However, he finds himself involved in all sorts of frantic adventures, assisted by such friends as the dismal Eeyore, Piglet and Rabbit, with his countless relations.

1200 E. Center Street- 7 p.m., also Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.

BEEF O BRADY'S:

CAMERON TATE

Cameron Tate plays an eclectic mix of covers from every decade dating back to the 1950's! As a singer/songwriter he incorporates a genuine, honest, and passionate approach that aims to connect with his audience at a personal level. Whether the occasion is for your wedding, corporate function, gala event, or party, Cameron Tate will be sure to provide an atmosphere to match any event of your need.

RYAN WARD

Ryan Ward is a talented, eclectic singer/songwriter, with an endless passion for music. He picked up his first acoustic guitar at the age of eight. Today, Ryan has incorporated many styles from artists that range from Lindsey Buckingham, Stephen Stills, to Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.

SLEEPY OWL BREWERY:

FOOD TRUCK RALLY

We rally again! Sleepy Owl Brewery has rallied the food trucks again for a great selection of delicious eats. Notice a few new names. Come down and try out a new entree and pair it with the perfect Sleepy Owl Brew. Scheduled to attend are Backdraft BBQ, Let's Taco 'Bout It, Feeding Frenzy Mobile, Opie's Pizza Wagon, Joe Bill's Kitchen and Spanqui's.

JUSTIN MYCHALS

Justin Mychals father loved to tell the stories of the mountains and the families that lived there. Many a night was spent with the grownups sittin' in the dark tellin' tales of the older generation while Justin, being of the younger generation, sat on the floor and listened. And listened he did! Those old mountain and family stories are the cornerstone of his latest release, "Mandolin Mornin"!
