Kingsport Public Library - April Events

Kingsport Public Library will offer Lapsit Storytime on alternating Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 am in the library’s auditorium! Lapsit is a program where children under the age of two and a parent or guardian can spend time participating in purposeful play! Join us April 5th for “Spring Flowers, April 14th and 19thfor “Shapes,” and April 28th for “Mommy and Me.”

Kingsport Public Library will provide Time for Two’s Storytime, for children 24-36 months old, on April 7th, 21st, and 28th at 10:30 am in the library’s auditorium. Join us for fun stories, songs, action rhymes, and puppet shows! Our themes this month are “Shake Your Sillies Out,” “April Showers Bring…Mud,” and “Planting a Rainbow!”

Kingsport Public Library will provide Preschool Storytime, for children 3-5 years old, on April 5th, 21st, and 28th at 10:30 am in the library’s auditorium. Kingsport Public Library invites all children ages 6-11 to join us for “Chromatics” on April 11th 4:00-5:00 pm in the library’s auditorium. Join us as we learn about the science of color!

LEGO® Builders Unit! Kingsport Public Library will be holding LEGO® Club, for ages 6-11, on April 18th 3:30-5:00 pm in the library’s auditorium! Registration is required and space is limited, so please call (423) 229-9366 to reserve your spot.

Kingsport Public Library invites all Teens, grades 6th-12th, to join us April 7th and 21st at 4:00 pm in the library’s auditorium for our Teen Book League! We will discuss the 2015-2016 Middle and High School Volunteer State Book Award nominees, eat snacks, and have fun! With over 40 books to choose from, we’re not your average book club!

Kingsport Public Library invites all Teens, grades 6th-12th, to join us for a Teen Advisory Group meeting on April 28th 4:00-5:15 pm in the library’s auditorium! We will plan our Teen Summer Reading program, eat snacks, and discuss books, magazines, graphic novels, and DVD’s you would like the library to add to the collection.
