Kingsport Public Library January Events

The Kingsport Public Library offers fun and educational events for infants to teenagers. Find out what is taking place during the month of January. • Jan 5, 2016 at 10:34 AM

Kingsport Public Library will offer Lapsit Storytime on alternating Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 am in the library’s auditorium! Lapsit is a program where children under the age of two and a parent or guardian can spend time participating in purposeful play! Join us January 12th for “Birthdays,” and January 21st and 28th for “Snow.”

Kingsport Public Library will provide Time for Two’s Storytime, for children 24-36 months old, on January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th at 10:30 am in the library’s auditorium. Join us for fun stories, songs, action rhymes, and puppet shows! Our themes this month are “Choo Choo: All Aboard,” “Pajama Party Under the Stars,” “Soup’s On,” and “Let it Snow!”

Kingsport Public Library will provide Preschool Storytime, for children 3-5 years old, on January 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th at 10:30 am in the library’s auditorium. Join us for fun stories, songs, action rhymes, and puppet shows! Our themes will be “Choo Choo: All Aboard,” “Pajama Party Under the Stars,” “Soup’s On,” and “Let it Snow!”

Kingsport Public Library invites all children ages 6-11 to join us in The Frozone on January 11th 3:30-4:30 pm in the library’s auditorium. If the cold never bothered you, come join us for some winter fun! See some frosty science, make your own snow like Elsa, build your own snowman, and have a snowball fight!

LEGO® Builders Unit! Kingsport Public Library will be holding LEGO® Club, for ages 6-11, on January 25th 3:30-5:00 pm in the library’s auditorium! Registration is required and space is limited, so please call (423) 229-9366 to reserve your spot.

Kingsport Public Library invites all Teens, grades 6th-12th, to join us for a Teen Advisory Group meeting on January 21st 4:00-5:15 pm in the library’s auditorium! We will begin planning our Teen Summer Reading program, eat snacks, and discuss books, magazines, graphic novels, and DVD’s you would like the library to add to the collection.
