Paleo-Camp allows campers to dig out on the fossil site to find fossils, rocks, and minerals, wet-screen for micro-fossils and identify them in the lab, make casts of bones, tie dye a t-shirt, and play Fossil Feud. Camp allows children to explore paleontology in the field and lab at the five-acre Gray Fossil Site, the Museum, and the Education Center.
There are several sessions for different age groups from pre-K all the way through 8th grade. Session dates are organized by age group and are as follows:
Session 1-AM: June 10-14, 2013 AM (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
Session 1-PM: June 10-14, 2013 PM (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
Session 2: June 17-21, 2013 (1st-3rd Grades)
Session 3: June 24-28, 2013 (1st-3rd Grades)
Session 4: July 8-12, 2013 (4th-5th Grades)
Session 5: July 15-19, 2013 (4th-5th Grades)
Session 6: July 22-26, 2013 (6th-8th Grades)
Session 1-AM or PM (Pre-K and Kindergarten only) is $90.00 per session. Sessions 2-6 (Grades 1st-8th) are $185.00 per session. Discounts are available for Museum Members and ETSU Faculty and Staff at a rate of $80.00 for Session 1-AM or PM or $165.00 for Sessions 2-6.
