“I am excited to host a prayer breakfast where business, civic leaders and all our citizens can unite in fellowship as they pray for the success of our community and our country, while enjoying fellowship and inspirational music during breakfast,” said Mayor Dennis Phillips. “This breakfast is a time where our city can be strengthened and refreshed as we face the challenges before us.”
This year’s program is free to the public, but a ticket is required for the buffet breakfast. Tickets for those who desire breakfast are $5 each and will be on sale beginning Monday, April 22 at the reception desk at Kingsport City Hall, 225 W. Center St.; the Kingsport Parks and Recreation office at the Civic Auditorium, 1550 Fort Henry Drive; or at the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce, 400 Clinchfield St. In addition, tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.
Senior church ministers receive a free breakfast ticket as guests of the mayor. They can pick up their free ticket at any ticket outlet or the day of event.
The program will feature various community leaders offering invocations for different aspects of the community. In addition, the program will feature music from the Milligan College Concert Choir beginning at 7:30 a.m., when the breakfast buffet line will open.
The program begins at 8 a.m.
