Patti Lawrence will be the featured artist in the Kingsport Art Guild’s Second Sunday Art Series to be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at the Kingsport Renaissance Center in room 239.

Lawrence will present “Memory Jugs and Trinket Boxes.” The event is free.

Lawrence was born and raised in Clifton, N.J., a suburb of New York City. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and later received a master of arts in teaching degree from Montclair State University.

She is an avid collector of anything old, and uses these found objects in her sculptures. Her unique paintings, sculptures, jewelry and boxes may be purchased at Star Trails Downtown and Stir Fry Café, both on Broad Street in Kingsport.

Her large-scale installation, “Birds of a Feather” can be seen in the stairwell atrium of The Higher Education Center, also in downtown Kingsport.
